This apprenticeship, delivered by Pareto, provides a strong entry point into the technology and cybersecurity sector while working at Distology, an award-winning and fast-growing specialist IT distributor.
At Distology, the role focuses on building relationships with channel partners and supporting them in solving cybersecurity challenges through an innovative portfolio of cloud-based solutions. The apprentice plays a key role in engaging, nurturing, and qualifying leads before passing them to specialist teams.
Key responsibilities include lead generation, outbound outreach across phone, email, and social media, and scheduling product demonstrations for qualified prospects. The role also involves maintaining accurate CRM records, gathering customer feedback, and contributing insights to support wider business strategy. Over time, the apprentice develops strong product knowledge to confidently communicate value propositions to potential clients.
This opportunity enables the development of essential professional skills such as communication, organisation, teamwork, and initiative, alongside gaining valuable experience in a high-growth tech environment. Regular reporting and performance tracking help build commercial awareness and accountability.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Appointment Setting: Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for our sales team, ensuring that they’re sat with a qualified prospect.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to record your activity and provide insights to the sales team.
• Feedback Loop: Gather and relay customer feedback and insights to the relevant teams within Distology.
• Lead Generation: Identify and research potential IT partners / end users within the cybersecurity sector who may benefit from the products and services within our portfolio.
• Outreach: Execute outbound prospecting activities through various channels, including phone calls, email, and social media to initiate meaningful conversations with key stakeholders.
• Product Knowledge: Over time, develop a strong understanding of our Distology’s value add and portfolio, to effectively communicate their value propositions to potential clients.
• Qualification: Qualify and assess leads through meaningful conversations, to understand levels of interest and willingness to discuss new ideas.
• Reporting: Be comfortable to write reports on your activity for the week to share insights on how you’ve performed
Progression Path: Level 3 - Full-time position with long term prospects to develop and grow with the company.
